For Seven years, Jim and Caroline Huntley Managed Historical Burgdorf Hot Springs, North of McCall, Idaho, in the Salmon River Mountains. There, They lived on site, created a successful business that grew in fame and accolades, over their tenure, at the helm of this wonderful place, in the heart of the Salmon River Mountains. Many great moments were shared, including the founding of the Pondicherry Farms, The Guernsey Goat Herd, the start of selling Pondicherry Goat products in the Burgdorf General store and the inception and developing of the greater ideology of what is the ever becoming, Pondicherry Farms. The Herd grew in this spectacular, yet rugged location and shaped it's current characteristics in animal content and demeanor. Jim and Caroline would say the same for themselves.

At Burgdorf The Huntley's also experimented with a custom built, "Hot Springs" Heated green house where they tried their hand with some good success, at growing their own vegetables, in a mountain environment, that was oh so difficult to please!. The excellence of the goat manure in the garden was a sure catalyst for the healthy plants!

Over the years the Huntley's labored in love at Burgdorf. They so enjoyed working on the historic log cabins and giving the place, their much needed love., Good Times were had by all, Human, Feathered and Fuzzy.

Alas, as all things do end, after an avalanche, Two Forest Fires, and a God Forsaken Pandemic, the writing was on the wall... It was time to bring the herd and Family,

Home, to Pondicherry Farms, at last and for final and for All!!!

With help From Wyatt, Earl, Greg, and the Gang, the Huntley's successfully moved the Goats, 20 Chickens, 2 Dogs and a Kitten up the road a ways, to our original homestead in Naples, Id.

Never to forget were the look on the goats faces when they arrived at Pondicherry Farms for the first time and opened the gate to the trailer to let them all out. There was sooo, much to eat here, compared to the high country of Burgdorf, they thought they had died and gone to heaven! Their faces displayed the awe, wonder and joyful realization, that this was their new and actual home, Pondicherry Farms, in Naples, Idaho. Welcome home to All!
